Proverbs 16:11

Proverbs 16:11
“A just weight and balance are the LORD’S: all the weights of the bag are his work.”

— Proverbs 16:11

✦ Golden Insight

“The truth at the heart of this verse

God’s scales never tilt, and His weights never lie.

✦ Frame of Silver

“The context and setting that shapes its meaning”

Men adjust their measures.
They shade truth, soften wrong, and bend the beam to favor themselves.
But the Lord’s scales stand fixed.
His judgments are straight, His standards unaltered, His balances untouched by the hands of men.
Every true weight is His work.
Every righteous measure bears His imprint.
He sees through the hidden bag, the quiet compromise, the subtle deceit.
Nothing escapes the God whose scales are perfectly set.

✦ Fruit of Christ

“How this truth bears fruit in a life following Christ”

Christ alone stands upon the scales and is found full, lacking nothing.
His righteousness is the true weight by which all men are measured.
At the cross, the beam did not bend — justice fell true, mercy flowed pure, and the holy standard was upheld.
In Him, the dishonest are made honest, the crooked made straight, the false weights cast aside.
He is the righteousness that steadies the trembling heart.
