The Moment Before We Act
November 2, 2026
“Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man’s heart discerneth both time and judgment.” — Ecclesiastes 8:5
Golden Insight
The fool answers the moment; the wise man answers first to God.
Frame of Silver
A man may know what is right and yet be governed by the urgency of his own spirit. Haste can turn a needed correction into a wound, while fear can delay an obedience that ought not wait.
Wisdom begins where the heart bows before God. It learns that knowing the truth does not excuse an ungoverned response, and that waiting is no virtue when God has made the duty plain. The wise man seeks not merely the right answer, but the heart and the discernment to carry it faithfully.
Fruit of Christ
Jesus Christ never hurried ahead of His Father’s will, nor drew back when obedience led to suffering. In Him, perfect wisdom was joined to perfect humility and courage.
As we behold Him, the Spirit teaches our restless hearts to exchange self-will for obedience, and the need to control the moment for quiet confidence in God.
And the truth held firm.
